It has been the most sell out gaming console on the year 2008.  Nintendo Wii was the craze with regard to gift items for birthday, for  graduations and others.  The Nintendo Console actually revolutionized the gaming industry by their wireless controller and cool sports games. I give the Nintendo Wii Five points for uniqueness and style not to mention the Nintendo Wii Points Codes that can be bought throughout stores nationwide.

Family Fun

I think the main purpose of the Nintendo Wii Console was to have a great bonding time of the family.  It has games for the typical gamers, but the majority of games are for family or group.  It is always nice to play with friends rather than playing alone and trying to own the game.

VS Xbox Vs PS3

I think there are different features for the big three gaming consoles and should never be compared.  For example - the Xbox and the Ps3 have games that are intended with “ACTUAL GAMERS” or hardcore gamers to say the least.  It has been on the news, blogs and other media that Xbox and PS3 are really for geek gamers that want awesome storylines and has this “solo” feature.  Unlike the Nintendo Wii - It is for group play and it’s games are wholesome.
