Aquarium Lamps Not Safe?
Posted in hardware on April 14th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to commentI have read an article regarding aquarium lamps. Since I have a pet goldfish and wanted to buy desperately of an aquarium lamp, I decided to have a simple research about it. I have found out that Metal Halide Aquarium Lighting is one of the best there is for any aquarium habitat. These type of fixtures are much appreciated if one’s pet is a light loving vertebrae or corals.
So, why would one author claim that Aquarium Lamps are NOT safe? He is particular about his wording and warned that some aquarium lamps may sometimes overheat and would lead to undesirable effect to the aquarium. Though some aquarium lamps have cooling fans, like a Metal Halide Aquarium Lighting - most of other types of lights do not have fans. So if you are looking for an aquarium lamp for your favorite aquatic pets, choose lamps with a cooling fan, OR just buy a recognized brand so risks would be minimal.
